NNRW Celebrations Across the Country
Nannies, Agencies and Nanny Groups across the country are gearing up for NNRW next week. For many this means events to celebrate this wonderful profession we all share.
Here are a few of the events we are aware of. Additional events may be planned in your area. We suggest you ‘like’ your favorite agencies and nanny groups on Facebook, as many are utilizing this avenue of social networking to get the word out about events in their area.

Nannies come together ...
Ryan Rocks! How the Nanny Community has rallied around a child fighting cancer. By Kathy Webb, HomeWork Solutions
If you have ever cared for a young child-your own or your charges-
"I'll love you forever / I'll love you for always / As long as I'm living / My baby you'll be."
Nanny Tara began caring for 6-month-old Ryan 7 years ago. As Ryan grew, Tara eventually moved on to other families. She stayed in touch, perhaps more so than many nannies would because her new charges attended the same preschool as Ryan.
Late last summer, at the age of 6, Ryan was diagnosed with cancer. While no type of cancer is good, this was a particularly ugly, aggressive and debilitating non-Hodgkins lymphoma known as Burkitt's Lymphoma. Ryan was hospitalized while he lost the use of his legs, the control of his bowels, and was in tremendous pain. Ryan's family, friends, and Tara were devastated. |
